"I was delighted to compose and record the score for this short film, written & produced by Trish Groves and directed by Fiona Ashe. The project was funded by the Irish Film Board as part of the Virtual Cinema scheme." Jonathan

"This is the ubiquitous BBC Galapagos Competition footage that many composers, including myself, have scored. Having read the brief, here was my take on those 3 minutes of spectacular imagery." Jonathan

In 2009, he was selected as one of four composers by RTE/Filmbase/IMRO to participate in their
Film Scoring initiative. Jonathan's score for the film ‘Boy Soldier’ (dir. Ged Murray) was performed and
recorded by the RTE Concert Orchestra, conducted by David Brophy.
In 2006, he was selected as a composer for the Moonstone International Filmmaker's Lab,
where he wrote a 16-piece orchestral score for 'Magic Hour', a film by Birmingham director Sean Spencer.
His short-film composing work includes:
'King Of The Waves' (dir. Luke Leslie, Buckled Cranium) 'Boy Soldier' (dir. Ged Murray) 'The Euthanizer' (dir. Ian Hunt Duffy) 'Bleeding Love' (dir. Ged Murray) 'The Caged Bird' (dir. Ronan O'Sullivan)
'The Future Husband' (dir. Garrett Lynam) 'Daughter Of The Brotherhood' (dir. Kate McLaughlin, Fatale Films) 'I Love You Suzie' (dir. Fiona Ashe, Ashe Productions) 'Rapunzel: The Blonde Years' (dir. Fiona Ashe, Ashe Productions)
'The Deal' (dir. Paul McDermot) 'One Degree' (dir. Paul McDermot) 'Volunteers Ireland Ad' (Music + Sound Design, dir. Justin Donnelly)
'Flipside' (dir. Peter Walsh) 'Friday Night' (dir. Andrew McEneff) 'Picture Perfect' (dir. Eilis Abbott) 'Stage Fright' (dir. Mark Tinley) 'Snap' (Jonathan's own short film. World's worst director.)
Other Composing
Jonathan composed and orchestrated two orchestral works which have been performed live by several ensembles around the world. The Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra performed 'In Spirit' and 'The
Steeplechase' at the World Fleadh 2008 and on a 40-date tour of the United States in 2009. Jonathan's music has also been performed by the Percy Grainger Youth Orchestra in Australia 2009 and
the Philharmonia Bulgarica in Bulgaria 2008.
Jonathan also composed and arranged music for the Greenwich Village Orchestra on ‘Fear And Desire’, the second album from New-York-based band, Mr North. The parts were performed both in studio and
then in concert by the orchestra, conducted by Silas Huff and Yaniv Segal.

Jonathan also fronts his own rock band. He has released a solo EP and is releasing his debut album this year.
